Refined Rustic Romance

Mon, 08/12/2019 - 10:00 | by PEAK Team

Inspired by the bucolic landscape and verdant vines of Newport Vineyards, Cassandra Earle, director of sales & marketing at Newport Vineyards, curated an autumn styled editorial. Set atop a classic farm table and featuring a color palette of earth tones and rich amber and merlot hues, the table scape evoked a rustic, yet elevated feel, perfect for an early fall fête.

What was the inspiration behind this styled look and in what ways did you tie it into the aesthetic of Newport Vineyards?

"Our mantra for the shoot was rustic (dare I say almost gritty) warmth. We wanted to emulate the romance of our farm setting, which is highlighted in our outdoor ceremonies; dirt farm road, vines, the meadowlands adjacent to the ceremony location; its casual elegance and heart-felt warmth. Our palate was golden ambers, deep merlots, and rustic neutrals; all which came together so beautifully in the florals, rental pieces, hair, décor and of course the wine and food."

What were your favorite PEAK rentals to use for this styled photoshoot?

"Everything! The Rustic Brown Farm Table really set the scene along with the place settings with the Fenton Goblet in Amber and the Villa Charger."

Tell us a little about Newport Vineyards & what makes it such a unique place to host an event.

"Wine, by nature, evokes a certain romance. We are a working winery (and brewery) and our clients fall in love with the authenticity of that. Combine that with vineyard views and refined, yet rustic event space, it’s a match made in vineyard heaven! With over 100 acres of preserved farmland, we offer the farm setting, but we are only minutes away from downtown Newport. We are also family-run by John and Paul Nunes and we embrace a familial mentality with our employee culture and client culture: our clients are celebrating one of the most important days of their life with us—we are honored by that and do our best to make each person feel like family!"

What are some fall event trends you’re looking forward to seeing at Newport Vineyards?

"In regards to colors, we are really into the dusty blue this year. We (like other venues) typically do not see many off the norm colors, and we're hoping this carries into the fall season a bit. We are also looking forward to hopefully seeing more of the coral tones coming in, which blends well the browns and amber with the accent of greens which work great with our space. As well as fun personalized table settings and designs for our client’s guests to create a full circle for the guest’s experience at a unique setting."
